Ravintsara Essential Oil

Ravintsara essential oil has multiple traditional uses.

• A major aromatherapy oil, it is widely used to accompany viral infections and is active in the respiratory field for things like colds, bronchitis, flu, sinusitis, coughs…
• It is recommended to help with congested airways and stuffy noses.
• With a fresh and aromatic scent, this essential oil balances the nervous system and refocuses energies to allow you to find calm and serenity in cases of stress, anxiety, and low spirits.

Properties:

• Powerful antiviral
• Immunity stimulant, cardiorespiratory system stimulant
• Expectorant, mucolytic
• Antibacterial
• Powerful balancer for the nervous system.

Uses:

• Topical: Mix 3 drops with a vegetable oil and then massage your mixture onto the chest, lower back, and along the spine 4 to 5 times/day. For a relaxing action, use this mixture on the inner sides of the wrists and on the solar plexus and breathe deeply while inhaling this mixture.
• Respiratory tract: For dry inhalation, put a few drops on a handkerchief and breathe. For wet inhalation, put a few drops in a container of hot water and breathe in the vapors.
• Oral: 1 drop of Ravintsara essential oil in a teaspoon of honey or olive oil or sugar 4 times a day until improvement.

Precautions:

Do not use during the first 3 months of pregnancy, or on children under 6 years of age.

Not recommended for asthmatic individuals (especially for inhalation or diffusion).
