Peppermint Essential Oil

Peppermint essential oil stimulates and invigorates the body and mind.

• Thanks to its fresh and pleasant smell, it is known to help fight nausea, motion sickness, headaches, rheumatism, rhinitis, sinusitis… as well as bad breath.
• Refreshing, it is also used to relieve itching and stimulate blood circulation.
• It also combats hair loss and reduces the risk of alopecia.

Properties:

• Anticatarrhal, expectorant, mucolytic

• Promotes liver and prostate function.

Uses:

• Peppermint essential oil is powerful; it contains a high content of menthol and menthone, so it should not be used lightly. It is irritating to the skin, so it is essential to dilute it in a vegetable oil when you apply it to your skin.

Topical use: Use a maximum of 1 or 2 drops on the skin; this essential oil provides a cooling effect. Wash your hands immediately after use to avoid the risk of it getting into your eyes.

For hair: To fight against hair loss and therefore reduce alopecia.

Preparation:

• In a 50 ml bottle, mix 45 drops of Ylang-Ylang essential oil, 15 drops of peppermint essential oil, and 4 tablespoons of argan oil.
• Apply this treatment from the ends of the hair to the roots.
• Leave the treatment on for 30 minutes – Rinse and shampoo.

To use as a shampoo:

• In a 50 ml bottle, put a few centimeters of shampoo, add 5 drops of Ylang-Ylang essential oil with 5 drops of Peppermint, and fill the rest of the bottle with your shampoo.
• Massage your scalp with this treatment, leave it on for 2 to 3 minutes, and rinse.

Precautions:

It cannot be used by pregnant or breastfeeding women, children under 6 years of age, and people with epilepsy.
